I want to do some sewing

I just love to sew, but just can't seem to find the time to do it. I love following different bloggers that have sew sites, creating such pretty items. I love the ones that post tutorials like Tea Rose Home, Sashiko is so talented. She loves to make her own style out of something old and makes it new again.

Back to school I go

Well I started back this week and already have a lot of homework. I am looking forward to taking a class again, I really need to work on my degree.

We are off to a great start for 2010

went back to work yesterday and had a blast, I really started to miss it. I was off for two and half weeks, only due to me getting an upper respitory infection the week before my vacation was supposed to start. the doctor sent me home on Wednesday telling me I was contagious, little did he know I was going to be off for the next two weeks. but it was great and relaxing, had a great time off with my family, go to see my grandaughter a lot. Harper is just too precious.

Happy New Year

This past year was an awesome one, our Heavenly Father blessed my family with a beautiful grandaughter in April. She is such a blessing, just brings out the child in all of us. I so missed having a baby around to play with, shop for, and sew for.

I pray that 2010 will bring wonderful blessing to all.

What a beatiful White Christmas we had

Ok, so it was Christmas Eve and it called for snow flurries. Well we got snow flurries all right, we went to visit family at lunch time and got home around 3:00 pm, we went to Mass at 3:30 with it still snowing but not too bad. We got out of mass and it was like a blizzard, well in Texas it seemed like it. It was so beautiful outside, everything covered in snow. We were going to stop and get Chinese take out but decided the roads were just too bad to drive on, they were starting to freeze. so we went home and aloud the kids to open some of their presents. I opened a wonderful gift from my dad and Sally it was a hot dog toaster, it was so neat. So that is what we ended up making for dinner LOL.

It was so nice for the kids to wake up Christmas morning to a beautiful white covered yard. It was their first white Christmas, it is very rare in these parts. Normally we get our snow in February or March.
